Discover the magic of Morocco on a 3-day journey from Marrakech to the Merzouga Desert. Travel through the majestic High Atlas Mountains, explore the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou, and pass through the scenic Rose Valley and Dades Valley. Spend the night in the Dades Valley before continuing to the stunning Todra Gorges, and finally arriving at the vast Merzouga Desert. There, a unique experience awaits: a camel ride and an overnight stay in a desert camp under a sky full of stars. On the last day, return to Marrakech through the beautiful Draa Valley.

Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Valley

After meeting at the agreed location, we begin our 3-day adventure by crossing the High Atlas Mountains through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 meters). We’ll stop to enjoy breathtaking views and visit an argan oil cooperative. Then, we head to the famous Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, where you’ll have free time to explore this historic village recognized by UNESCO.

After the visit and lunch, we continue toward Dades Valley. On the way, we stop in Ouarzazate to visit the Taourirt Kasbah. Then, we continue through the Skoura palm grove and the Rose Valley. Upon arrival, we visit the unique rock formations known as “Monkey Fingers.” Overnight in a hotel or riad.

After breakfast, we head toward the Merzouga Desert. Along the way, we pass through several Berber villages, including Tinjdad and Erfoud, where the first desert landscapes of the Tafilalet oasis begin to appear.

Upon arrival in Merzouga, we take a short break before meeting the camels that will take us through the dunes. We spend the night in a traditional desert camp with dinner, music, and drums, surrounded by the peaceful silence of the Sahara. It’s the perfect chance to capture unforgettable photos of the sunset and sunrise.

We wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes. After breakfast, we ride the camels back to Merzouga. From there, we begin the return journey to Marrakech via a different route, passing through Rissani, Alnif, Nkob, and the Draa Valley. We stop for lunch along the way and continue through the High Atlas Mountains until we reach Marrakech. End of the 3-day tour.
