Itinerary

DAY 1 : Tangier – Tetouan – Chefchaouen

Your journey begins with a scenic drive through the Rif Mountains, passing the whitewashed city of Tetouan. We’ll pause along the way to take in the breathtaking landscapes before arriving in Chefchaouen, the famous blue city. Nestled at the foot of the Rif, Chefchaouen’s medina reflects strong Spanish influence, with colorful artisan shops, lively squares, and charming rooftop cafés. In the evening, relax at your riad and enjoy the cool breeze and stunning views.

After breakfast, we set out towards Volubilis, traveling through Ouazzane and other Rif villages. At Volubilis, you’ll explore Morocco’s best-preserved Roman ruins and step back into ancient history. We then continue to Meknes for lunch and a visit to its highlights, including the massive medina walls, Bab El Mansour gate, and Moulay Ismail’s mausoleum. By late afternoon, we’ll arrive in Fes for an overnight stay.

Today is dedicated to exploring Fes, Morocco’s cultural and spiritual heart. We begin at the Royal Palace gates, followed by the Jewish quarter, home to the first Mellah in Morocco dating back to the 16th century. Highlights include Al Quaraouine University—the oldest in the world—the famous tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and Moulay Idriss Mausoleum. After lunch, we’ll explore artisan workshops and end with a breathtaking panoramic view over the medina.

Fes is divided into three unique sections: Fes el Bali, the ancient medina and a UNESCO World Heritage site, with over 9,000 winding alleys enclosed by historic walls; Fes-Jdid, the “new” Fez, which includes the old Jewish quarter (Mellah); and the modern Ville Nouvelle, built during the French protectorate. In the afternoon, we’ll continue our journey towards Rabat before heading on to Casablanca.

On the final day, we travel north along the Atlantic coast to the charming seaside town of Asilah, known for its whitewashed medina and colorful murals. From there, we continue to Tangier, where our memorable journey comes to an end.
